Questions, answered plainly.
What is Northwind, in one line?
A private, voice-first confidant for founders — you talk through the hard moments of building a company, and it listens, remembers, and pushes back.
Is this therapy?
No. Northwind is a confidant, not a clinician — it doesn't diagnose or treat anything. If what you're carrying calls for a professional, it will say so plainly and get out of the way.
How is this different from talking to ChatGPT?
Memory and posture. Northwind holds one continuous memory of you and your company — it recalls what you said in May when you circle the same fear in August. And it's built to push back, not to please.
What does it remember?
What you choose. Business context is remembered by default; sensitive things can require your OK before they're kept. Every memory is visible, and every memory can be deleted.
Who can hear what I say?
No one. Conversations are encrypted in transit and at rest, are never used to train models, and are never seen by humans. Deleting your data deletes it everywhere, including our side.
When do people actually use it?
Walking after a board call. Driving home from the office. The 2am spiral. Anywhere you'd think out loud if someone safe were listening.
What happens if Northwind shuts down or gets acquired?
Your memory is yours: you'd get a full export window, and then everything is destroyed. Your conversations will never be an asset in an acquisition — that's a founding commitment, in writing.
What does it cost?
Your first conversation is free, and every month includes 20 free minutes. Memberships are $19.99/month for 4 hours of conversation, or $49.99 for 15 — with a free first week on the base plan where the App Store offers it. iPhone only for now.
