The Covenant
People tell Northwind things they have never said out loud. That is not a feature we get to be casual about. These six commitments are the terms we hold ourselves to — written plainly, on purpose, so there is nothing to interpret.
No AI company keeps your words.
Each turn is processed in the moment by services we name publicly — the model at Cerebras, speech-to-text at Mistral, the voice at Fish Audio — and stored by none of them. There is no Northwind database of your conversations at all.
Never training data.
Your conversations are never used to train models — ours or anyone else's. Not anonymized, not aggregated, not ever.
No human reads them.
There is no review queue, no sampling program, no exceptions process.
They live on your phone, not with us.
Conversations are stored encrypted on your device only. Delete one — or everything — and it is gone; there is no server copy for us or anyone who asks us to produce.
If we're acquired or shut down: export, then destruction.
Your memory will never be an asset in a transaction. This clause survives any change of control.
These promises never weaken retroactively.
Terms can evolve; the commitments above only ever apply forward, and never to what you've already said.
The legal versions of these commitments live in our Privacy Policy and Terms. This page is the plain one — the one we expect to be held to.
